how does lender know if you don't have adequate auto insurance?

When you finance/lease a car, the lender requires comprehensive & collision insurance with a $500 deductible. How do they know if you have adequate coverage? Suppose you only have 300/100 liability. Secondly, if they find out what would they do?

When you add the vehicle to your insurance policy, you have to give the name of the finance company. In turn, your insurance company sends them a declaration page showing your coverage. If it's not adequate, they will contact you & let you know.

they require the company to send them a copy of the coverage and also inform them of laps is coverage ok.. do not fool around you might wind up wanting..

I keep hearing people that we have a problem in the USA that people do not have health insurance. Another problem we have is that people do not drive with adequate auto insurance or collision.

To me the government does not belong mandating

Please don't give the left wing liberal loonies any ideas. If socialized medicine were enacted, there would be a part of it applicable to auto insurance. Most auto policies incldue medical payments coverage. That coverage would not be needed.

Many cars do not have adequate coverage and suffer expensive accidents. Some cars are even kept in service past their useful life. Do we need universal coverage and death panels?

March Madness is in the air.  I wasn’t a big fan of basketball myself until March Madness got me hooked two years ago. The Bobcats from Athens, Ohio (I’d never heard of) beat the powerhouse, the Hoyas of Georgetown (everyone’s heard of), in one of the biggest upsets in March Madness history.  How was David able to beat Goliath?  Obviously Ohio University outplayed Georgetown, but there is another very important factor in how the tournament is devised — the “one-and-done” factor.  If your team loses, that’s it.  You are out.  There are no mulligans, no wildcat options, and no second brackets to fight for.

Upsets are exciting for the fans but devastating to those top seeded teams that are overtaken.  These athletes trained for years, played their guts out and at the sound of a buzzer, they are done.  They are out of the tournament. This is especially tough for the seniors since, for many, this is their last chance at a title.  I can imagine the bus ride home to Georgetown after that epic game was a quiet one, but on the other hand, it is only a game.
