say I am driving a friends car with their permission and I get in an accident. Who's insurance covers it?
I hear that insurance follows the car. So this would mean that the friends insurance would cover the liability and physical damage
You need to look it up in your friends policy, or call his insurance agent, In some policies a person driving your vehicle is fine as long as they have insurance and a valid license. Some policys will say a person driving your car must just have a valid

May 22, 2007 by QueAndAy | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I got a couple of questions about about auto insurance coverage. Namely, what's the best amount of liability and medical coverage to select. 1) For the liability, I know it's wise to get the best liability that one can afford to cover your assets.
1 - liability coverage is very cheap. The difference between the 300 and the 500 is probably only dollars a year.

1)Each company will have a minimum limit of liability for each type of policy that the umbrella covers. In my company for instance, the umbrella requires 250,000/500,000 in liability coverage for autos. It would be redundant to add more b/c the umbrella

If you have personal injury protection threw progressive will they cover your medical bills if you wreck your car and you were drinking but just blew the legal limit...
Yes, but be prepared to start shopping for a new insurance company. Once they find out what you did, you're going to be yesterday's news. I Hope you didn't kill anyone. Too bad you weren't seriously hurt.
