explain dealer holdback FAQ
I can tell you that it is not public info. Some may say that they know, but unless they have owned a new car dealership, they only know what they have been told..That is private between the dealer and the manufacturer..Im sure it is different with each
Dealers have at least 3 "invoices" plus the price they paid for the vehicle. You will NEVER see the latter, and the closer to the MSRP invoice they can get, the more money they will make, so they are going to get all they can. Good luck
explain dealer holdback news
Just in: 2012 Ford Focus SFE-Screaming deal, but will it deliver?
With gasoline prices on the rise and consumers looking to relieve their pain at the pump, we have been scrutinizing the fuel economy claims of automakers to see if the cars can deliver on the promises in the real world. To that end, we have been shopping for small, fuel-efficient cars , and just recently got a screaming deal on a 2012 Ford Focus SFE.
In the waning days of February, we found a new Ford Focus selling locally for considerably less than invoice price and packing a hefty manufacturer rebate on top of that. In this case, we were hunting for a 2012 Focus equipped with the SFE (super fuel economy) package; a “convenience” package that includes both cruise and SYNC; and as little else as possible. Searching online and by phone, we came across the one we wanted, in the color we wanted, conveniently in stock at a local dealer. Another dealer had told us he’d have to swap for one at another dealership 170 miles away, so we were happy to find one available that day and close by.
