Kate Chenery Tweedy, author of “Secretariat's Meadow” and the daughter of Penny Chenery, who owned the legendary race horse Secretariat, along with exercise rider Charlie Davis, will participate in a book signing from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Artisinal Dish & Associates, 6998 N. Highway 27, Suite 111, Ocala.

Penny Chenery may attend the event. Davis is a longtime local resident.

Tweedy and her mother also will host a cocktail party and book-signing fundraiser at GoldMark Farm on Saturday to benefit the Florida Agriculture Center and Horse Park.
