I usually use gocompare.com or confused.com for comparing the normal insurance prices. But, they do not seem to have an option for short term insurance quotations. I am lazy to enter the details again on different sites. So, I am wondering whether there

I was in a car accident and my car was uninsured. The insurance company from other car only get 1 quotation and they said it was allowed by law since they have assessor to assess the damaged too.

It is illegal to drive without a valid car insurance. I am unable to get a single quote for car insurance, what am I doing wrong or where is the catch?

Firstly, there are no (or very few) insurance companies in the UK who will insure a uk registered car to a non UK license holder.
This is even less likely when they want a named driver who only has a provisional license and the car is worth 15k.
