i went through swinton, axa ,norwich union, high performance, churchil, and a couple others. they did not even come close...is this possible?

i am a bit suspicious, if that tesco quote is reliable, but they say when i call that i can complete

Go to confused.com, put in your details and they will find you an insurance company i was quite surprised with my car insurance. I got a quote from Quinn direct and it was a very good quote indeed and i have seen people on here recommend them too.

How soon are you covered after completing car insurance application?

Im a first time driver so I really have no idea.

I have a quote ready to process on Tesco car Insurance. Once it goes through and I make the payment am I covered immediately or is there a 'red tape' paperwork process to follow after that?

Upon completion of the application process and submitting at least the minimum premium deposit your agent should be able to bind coverage immediately.
