What are the choices I have to find a deal on an affordable rental car in San Francisco. Rent a Wreck?

I guess a pass will get me around the city of San Francisco, no rental car needed. But to travel down the coast or north maybe to the redwoods or to the wine country Should I rent a car? Are there alternative rental car copmpanies? What about the
Rent a Wreck is OK. I'd also look at City Rent a Car; I've found they have reasonable rates.

I got into an accident a month ago and need to get my car repaired, but I need to rent a car. when I was young, we rented a car from "Rent a wreck." I do not know if it exists or if there are more than one or anything like that in the Aurora
Yes, apparently the Crown Point Rent-A-Wreck services Midway Airport. Check here http://www.rentawreck.com/midwayairportc arrental.htm . That is the closest that I can find for Aurora.

Does the rental car company "Rent a wreck" charge an under the age fee?

I didn't see it on their site.
They don't charge an "underage fee" per se, but require drivers under the age of 25 to carry the supplemental insurance. The cost is $10.95- 20.05. By the way, this is pretty standard for car rentals.
