noisy rear differential FAQ

The powertrain warranty on that is 7/70. But if the dealer pulls the cover and the fluid has never been changed they can deny the warranty. But most of the time they won't. Typically the adjuster clips break on those letting chunks of metal float around

Some have 7/70 depending on the vehicle. Call the dealership and have them run your VIN to check warranty.

look for leaks....most car now days are front wheel drive......so they don't have a differential .......but if your looking at one that is rear wheel drive....... if it has a hollow howling noise or pops then you may have a problem.....

Well-Traveled: 2014 Buick LaCrosse

20.04.14

MSRP range: $34,060 - $40,280; as tested: $46,090

LaCrosse — Buick 's top-ranging sedan series — returns for 2014 with refreshed styling and a long list of available, new technology.

The four-door sedan is offered in four trim levels: LaCrosse (MSRP $34,060), Leather ($36,135), Premium I ($39,735), Premium II ($40,280). Front- and all-wheel-drive versions are available, with a choice of two engines.

My test drive this week was in a Premium I level LaCrosse. With a generous helping of options, the front drive, V-6 powered test car stickered for $46,090.

Styling cues for 2014 include a new front fascia, reshaped hood and a more noticeable "waterfall" grille. Headlight designs have been updated as well, with available Bi-Xenon, High Intensity Discharge lamps, articulating lamps, and wing-shaped LED lighting.

The side view showcases the 2014 wheel designs, including 17-, 18-, 19- and LaCrosse's first 20-inch rims. The rear view includes a new fascia and deck lid with an integrated spoiler. Redesigned tail lamps with LED lighting bookend a full-width, chrome accent strip. Below, the dual exhaust outlets are boxed with brightwork trim.
