The rear differential is running really noisy on my 2006 Jeep Liberty?

The rear differential is running really noisy on my 2006 Jeep Liberty...I bought the Jeep new and I've already exceeded 36000 miles on the bumper to bumper...does any know how long the Powertrain warranty on a new 2006 Jeep was? Please help. Thank you.
The powertrain warranty on that is 7/70. But if the dealer pulls the cover and the fluid has never been changed they can deny the warranty. But most of the time they won't. Typically the adjuster clips break on those letting chunks of metal float around

Some have 7/70 depending on the vehicle. Call the dealership and have them run your VIN to check warranty.

How do you tell if the rear differential needs work?

I'm looking at getting a car and a friend mentioned I should "listen for a noisy rear diff." as well as a bad center support bearing. Any idea what they look/sound like normally or could you describe what I should exactly be listening/looking
look for leaks....most car now days are front wheel drive......so they don't have a differential .......but if your looking at one that is rear wheel drive....... if it has a hollow howling noise or pops then you may have a problem.....

Jeep Grand Cherokee noisy rear?

I am thinking of buying a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee for $2000 Everything works fine except there is a noise in the left rear end of the vehicle (around the wheel) ...it is a constant grinding sound that you can hear at all speeds (rather loud too)...new
